About Us

We are a group of young people who are concerned about climate change. This is a massive problem which must be urgently addressed before it’s too late.

Youth Against Climate Change was formed in June 2006 by students at Howard of Effingham School, Surrey, UK but is designed to be a voice on behalf of all young people to demand effective action against global warming.

We are a member of the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition.

OUR AIMS
- To inform and engage students of all levels about the dangers of global warming
- To promote practical steps to reduce the risk
- Through students, to engage the public at large to change their own behaviour
- Consequently to reduce energy usage significantly
- To campaign to force governments to take effective action against global warming

WE WILL DO THIS BY
- helping to set up groups in schools and colleges to influence students, their families and their community
- developing and promoting this website
- running political campaigns
